Scribbling Gold

Whew so sad that I haven't found the time to post something. I've been busy with my business and playing in the stock market to keep me from starving (My parents don't give me anymore allowance so i have to use the money i saved to play in the stock market so i can live) Now I'm finally free and in the mood to start typing, lets get on the report shall we.

INSCRIPTION - GLYPH MARKET
The first thing that comes to my mind when i found out the condition of this market right now is just like the feeling of getting hit by an Ele Shaman and a DestroLock at the same time, WTF???.
The glyph market is still lively as ever and its still a gold mine. There's just a change of orientation on how you should approach this market. Here is the condition of the glyph market before and after :
BEFORE :
   1. Low material cost
   2. EXTREMELY high demand
   3. Low margin High quantity selling
NOW :
   1. Moderate material cost
   2. Low-Decent demand (But it was very high during the start of cataclysm)
   3. High margin Low quantity (Niche Market)
To sum it up, glyph was so easy and plentiful back in WotLK and even a lvl 5 character that powerlvl their inscription up 75 skill point can make a killing in the market with some low level glyph and ink that can be sold in high quantity. The OLD glyph mechanics provide high demand EVERYDAY thats why back then competition was fierce because the market was like a huge ocean with tons of fish that reproduce everyday.
As awesome as it is for gold makers however, blizzard notice this and change the glyph mechanics into a more player friendly mechanics that we know now. Because of one time purchase, the glyph demand is limited into the number of players and classes exist in a server. Decreased demand and high material cost drive competition away into more profitable market such as DARKMOON CARDS, but the demand for glyph is still there and the major change is due to one time buying condition, people are willing to pay high prices just for a glyph. This high margin is what make scribbling glyphs is like scribbling gold. There are also less competition and mats are not that hard to obtain although i prefer that you mill the ink from the herbs that currently exist in the AH instead of trading DARKFALLOW INK into the ink you need to make the glyph. Its a lot less cheaper.

To Sum it up on how to make a killing in glyph business today :
1. Get the materials from the herb instead of trading it unless there are very few stock in the AH.
2. Focus on popular and useful glyph with high margin and low available quantity in the AH.
3. Only create 1 or 2 glyph for each type and check your AH more often for sold items then recreate
Providing less glyph for each type can widen your market span and save you mats to create them. Glyph business is still good nowadays and i pity those people that quit from this market into other market BUT however i pity i still prefer them to stay at whatever they're selling and leave me alone in the glyph market. Anyway, goodluck :D

Shattering Gold

After reading a post in Markco's Gold Blog - www.justmytwocopper.org
He mentioned something about Shattering dirt cheap Abyss Crystal into Greater Cosmic Essence and Infinite Dust then sell them at normal price. The way i analyze it, since cataclysm began most people focused their purchase on Hypnotic Dust and Celestial Essence. So the value of WotLK enchant materials quickly falls. However, most people will start making alt since Blizzard gave so much incentive to new players such as easy XP and new type of questing. New characters means new demand for low level profession materials which means we should supply those materials to meet the demands.

After snooping around in my realm Auction House, i wasn't surprised that the Abyss Crystal price was lower than 5g each when it was supposed to be around 15-20g back then. What shocked me was when i look into the price of Greater Cosmic Essence and Infinite Dust, they were WAYYYY OVERPRICED. Essence were like 15g each and dust was around 10g each what more amazing was the supply on these mats are quite low. If you find a cheap abyss crystal i suggest you buy it, shatter it, and sell it. I bet there won't be much time left before the hype of alt profession powerlevel which most buyer on these materials are, but i'm gonna enjoy it while it last.

A little more about enchanting in cataclysm, I suggest all enchanters to not supply and invest in the new enchanting scrolls just yet. The materials are still high in price while the margins of the scrolls are pretty low. I suggest find out every cheap cata greens you can find and disenchant them and burn every cataclysm enchanting materials you have while its high. Most people are still leveling their profession and the current gear is just isn't worth it to be enchanted with expensive enchant. Sooner or later when the materials are high in supply so the price are down, that is when you shift from selling materials to selling scrolls. For now, just sell em raw like selling meat!

What long strange trip it will be..

In Wrath of the Lich King, i started my journey from 1000g into the gold cap of 214.748 gold which took me about 5 months. It could have been faster but i have to spend gold to buy gems, gears and enchant to improve my raiding and PvP performance. I even have to suffer from reducing my gold to 20k so i can realm transfer to my current guild. But those past are way behind me now and i wish made a blog to record them, but whats done is done. Now in Cataclysm, I'm going to track my way from my current gold into 999.999 gold which i bet is like trying to get the "What a long strange trip it has been" Achievement. But hey, some people have done it so why can't i done too? and here goes the start of the "Cash Cow" Achievement.

Current Liquid Gold :   421.518 Gold
Current Asset          :    20k++

Total Current Gold :   441.518 Gold +-

Current Asset is a rough estimation of my current items that is being sold or stocked in my bank counted using current market price and the numbers may vary. Well its a rough estimation so who knows the real value?

214k took me around 5 months now lets see how long this will take..

558.481 Gold to go!

My main profession that i use to make golds are

Tailoring - 525 Skill Points
Enchanting - 531 Skill points
Inscription - 450 Skill points (Still focused on lvling my mage right now)
Blacksmithing - 450 Skill points (Same as above)
Random Flipping - ??? Skill points (can't judge it LoL)

I will post some old and current strategy that still can be useable in Cataclysm to make gold tomorrow. Right now, i'm too tired to make one. Thanks for reading tho ;)

P.S.
For Indonesian readers, imagine how much i have made when the current price of in-game gold is around 3.5 USD = 1000 Gold. Playing can be profitable lol. Eat that you stupid Lecturer who said that playing games was a waste of time (i won't give out the name).

Pertamax! The first post! A milion gold starts with 1 copper.

"A Million gold starts with 1 copper"

That quote is like how this blog is going to be. A blog with thousands of post and millions of views is always start with one thing, a single post. I don't have much experience running a blog nor posting ideas and giving away tips to other people due to my introvert personality. But a wise man once said "A good knowledge is a knowledge that you teach to others", i couldn't agree more with that wise man. What is the point of holding an information for yourself and keep it from others? Even when i was only a poor player with no more than 1000 gold i learned the information to be what i am from other people. Now comes the time for me to be that people who gives information to people who are right now just like me when i was poor and hopefully someday one of those people can finally feel what its like to NOT have gold as a problem while playing wow.

I started playing the auction house around December 2009 and i finally hit the gold cap in may 2010. It was a lot of fun playing the auction house, the feeling of playing the auction house is like raiding or PvP in arena matches or battleground. The only difference is you play it with different aspect. Raiding is like being a manager, you study the condition, make a plan then execute the plan with carefulness and precision. The feeling you must possess in order to be successful in raiding is being Patient, calm and analytical with a little bit of awareness. PvP on the other hand, is like being a salesman. You HAVE to be fierce, focused and aware of your surrounding, a strong willpower and tenacity to never give up can make you unbeatable in any fights.

Now comes the final part. Auctioning, on other hand. Require all skills that is needed both at Raiding and PvP. You need to be analytical to analyze the market, you need to be fierce when undercutting or facing a tough competitors, you need to be focused on several items instead trying to make profits selling a lot of items that maybe unsold and you need a strong willpower, patience, tenacity to keep going when some stuff are unsold or coping up with a loss. Being an Auctioneer requires a lot higher skillcap in PvP terms even higher than a Frost Mage or a Druid skillcap. That is why there aren't many people who are successful playing the auction house compared to the whole population of WoW. It's like the "Great Divide" in United Nations terms between the poor and the rich in World of Warcraft. BUT, don't feel down when you read what i said. You can be rich if you learn how to be rich. Most people just doesn't have the common sense in learning. It's like teaching a new raider when he/she just hit 85 and trying to do Grim Batol.

If  you feel that auctioning might be fun and want to try it out. I suggest that you should. Why? Playing the Auction House improve  your softskills that i've mentioned before like patience and tenacity which will in turn improve your softskills in PvP or Raiding. Hell! even you might change in real life. I think i've said too much just for a first post but well "The more The merrier" Thus, i thank you for those who read this and hopefully you will accompany me with my journey to hit the NEW gold cap of 999.999 GOLD or 1 Million gold. I will post any strategy, tips and opportunity that i find in this blog so be sure to check back later ;D
